plastic water buckets
Domestic water buckets are a common category of plastic household products, used in a variety of scenarios such as toileting, gardening, dining and cooking.
The capacity of the buckets and their details vary from one application to another.
- In terms of capacity, there are common sizes such as 10L 12L 15L 18L 20L, but customers can also design their own special capacity.
- In terms of design, there are modern minimalist lines, natural lines imitating rattan or shapes imitating various plants and animals, all of which can be personalised according to the customer’s needs.
How to produce a good bucket?
Step 1: Design The bucket
Step 2: Mould selection
Step 3: Choose of material
Step 4: Equipment selection
Step 1:Design The bucket
Firstly the design of the wall thickness is crucial. The wall thickness of the bucket determines the overall weight and carrying capacity of the bucket, a thicker thickness will increase the strength of the product, creating a better character and making it less difficult to design the mould, but the cost of mass production will rise due to the increased overall weight of the product. Therefore designing the thickness to meet your own load bearing requirements is a key parameter. Secondly the appearance style is determined, in line with the VI design of your own brand, choosing a suitable pattern or ornament.
Step 2: Mould selection
The injection mould has the difference between hot and cold runners you can choose different mould types according to your needs for production line automation.
To buket, lots client will choose cold runner mould to control the cost.As one set hot runner cost a lot.
Step 3: Choose of material
PP PC PE HDPE etc. can be used for the production of buckets, you need to choose the right material according to the usage scenario that the product has to deal with. The content is mainly to cope with (cold and hot liquids, inorganic and organic liquids, light transmission needs of the product, etc.)
Step 4: Equipment selection
Select an injection molding machine large enough for production according to the design of the barrel size.

However, during the load-bearing phase, the barrel was slightly deformed, which means that it will not last as long as the thicker version, but due to the 16.5% saving in raw materials, it is a more economical design for mass production.
However, the smaller grammage and thickness of the product at the mould making stage means that the space within the mould cavity is compact and requires a higher degree of precision than the thicker version in all aspects of machining, which is slightly more expensive in terms of initial investment in the production line, but will result in high profits at the production stage.
The exterior pattern uses a fine plant-like rattan pattern, the material is PP, and the scene used is indoor water transfer.

We design and manufacture molds for customers, and configure our company’s HCK310 machine to solve customers’ production needs in one stop.
The design of the thickened barrel body can prevent the product from deforming when it is filled with water, and the service life of the barrel is greatly enhanced. The design and processing of the mold is also relatively simple.
But for mass production, the consumption of raw materials will be much larger.

Overall the two designs each reflect their own strengths, with the thicker version focusing on the quality of the individual product and the thinner version contributing to cost savings. Which one do you prefer?
Mould design
-It is not an difficoult mould.
-The most cost is the tattoo on the surface.
